We couldnt wish for a better slave race. We love chaksas and they look intimidating on look too. Today, i will evaluate for you, all possible chaksa units that we have.
When we were playing N2, i was oftenly using hmg variant. Rocket launcher was extremely expensive. Chaksa baggages have always been my favorites. Still they are.
Lets start with our regular troops. Chaksa auxiliaries.
Nice ph 12, zero arm and bts, rem standart bs of 11, wip 13, cc16 , 1 wound troops with courage skill.
Availability is 4, would prefer that it was 6.
Chaksa Baggage 10 points
One of the best troopers tohaa have. I give them 91 points. Pistol+triangulated fire , sensors, heavyflamers for killing stuff and the best cheerleaders still. I always take at least two units into my lists. Sometimes 3/4.
Chaksa HMG with neurocinetics,360 visor - 25 points, 1 swc
Interesting option but not good at active turn. After N3, i lost my interest on it. Other factions have rems that they can buff. For 25 points, they have rems that are most faster, can be buffed, with extra bts and with real total reaction, so that they can use them in active turn too. They have 2 unsc. level instead of 1. In positive side, you we dodge and fight abit better. :( well, it is up to you. One more idea is taking several units at once, but neurocinetics. We have few options only for coordinated attacks but this option is good for being a helper in coordinated attacks. it was attacking with one burst and still with 1 burst as a helper too. I give this option 59 points out of 100 points.
Chaksa Smart Heavy Rocket Luncher - 15 points, 1 swc
I find this variant useful. Because it is cheap, even cheaper than other rems with 18 point cost rems in all factions and have 0.5 swc less. 15 points is almost cheerleader points. You can take one, put like seing one flank and enjoy some guided rockets (which is unique for Tohaa). Unfortunetly rockets are not deadly like missiles. Opponent can still throw the right dice at first arm roll, and can make you unhappy. However, perfect option for coordinated attacks. I give this variant 68 points out of 100 points.
We have other chaksas in our army. In this part, i want to talk about those too.
Rasails' chaksa peripheral
They move faster than their masters and they have heavy flamers plus mimetism. They really work well with rasails. They have pistol too, so they can maximise the total burst on several units at once. Dont miss that, they have bs of 11. so,their pistols are dangerous enough.
Gorgos' peripheral
There are 2 options. One of them is really similar with rasails'. However instead of heavyflamer comes with pulzar this time.
Second option is coming with a gun and a tactical option at once. It can strike with a shotgun template with burst 2 or with a stun grenade for tactical variety. Second option can be better but 3 points more expensive.
Chaksa Servants
Trolling experts with mimetism+hyper dynamics. They have good total ph of 14 on dodging attempts. Nowadays i cant use them at all. If your engineer/doctor is inside of a link, you cant use them. I still wait kumotail to be reworked.
Thats all for the moment. I know that Tohaa will have an infiltrator type in close future and i am a bit suspicious that we will get a chaksa one this time. wouldnt be awesome to get a chaksa in camo and have mechanised deployment for instance ? Gutier knows but give no secrets at all.
